Number of UFO(s), including the Color(s), Size(s) and Shape(s): 1, bright white light, moving slowly but radically, with four smoke like eject radiating for quite a distance from what looked like the rear, or I should say in the opposite direction of the motion

Distance of UFO(s) in sky: When first observed, the object was about five degrees west of Mar, and about 5 degrees closer to the horizon. During the whole time we saw it, it was moving slowly westward, and appeared to be going forward towards the south. After about three minutes it faded, having traveled about 20 degrees west from mars, and to a point abut 5 degrees further from the horizon than mars

Direction of Travel for UFO(s): Westward, and probably to the south from our point of view.

Other Known Object(s) (For possible reference, or contrast): I have never seen anything similar to compare it to. I have been in the military, in war zones, and have traveled extensively, and nothing like this has ever crossed my path before.

Further Description of Sighting: The single most unusual aspect of this object was that it appeared to be spraying a huge amount of fog / smoke from behind it, in four trails. This was very distinctive because everything else in the sky was very clearly visible. Dark was just setting in, and I checked everywhere in the sky to see if there was any fog, or if there were any clouds, but there were none. Stars and planets were clearly visible, and yet this object seemed to be shrouded in smoke. When it faded, it almost looked like the smoke had just covered the object over and blanked out the light, which was originally very bright. I would estimate that its original magnitude was somewhere near that of Venus, maybe a bit brighter. That would put it it a magnitude of about minus 5 or 6.
