Further Description of Sighting: walking my dog near to a local golf club when I saw the object, it was not traveling very fast nor was it traveling in a straight line, i thought it could be an air craft or helicopter as the approach routes to newcastle airport are near by, As it came over head I could see it was not an air craft and there was no engine sound at all, it disappeared behind a cloud then re-appeared again, there seemed to be flashes coming from it like sparks from a fire. I was watching this for some 12 minutes before it seemed to gain altitude and disappear all together
