Location of Sighting: airforce base in west germany (osbach?)
Further Description of Sighting: My little sister and a friend were playing in a tree house probable about ten feet off the ground, waiting for a deer to come under the trail. This happened often, that’s why we loved the tree house we had found in the woods. We heard a sound and saw a tall man who looked like he had a skin tight silver suit on and had square slits for eyes, he was tall, we were so scared, because he stopped under the tree house and we could see him through the boards.
He ran lightening fast down the trail towards an open field and then we heard an awful sound that was so loud and windy. We waited awhile and climbed down the tree house I walked to the open field and saw nothing. The base alarm went off and I knew we had to get to the housing fast. We were over the fence and off the base.
Everyone was told to stay in side and my father who was a policeman had to go in to work. He would never tell me what went on that day. I will never know because he is dead now. I wish I could find the little boy I was with but I can not remember his name. My sister who was three or four at the time does not remember much. I have never told anyone except my husband, about this til now
Date of Sighting: 10pm (central) mid November 1964
Location of Sighting: Memphis, Tennessee
Shape(s) of UFO(s): white full moon in appearance
Size(s) of UFO(s): ten acres (size of real full moon in appearance)
Color(s) of UFO(s): white
Number of UFO(s): one
Distance of UFO(s) in sky: estimate twenty thousand feet
Direction of Travel for UFO(s): overhead looking south / traveled up
Other Known Object(s) (For possible reference, or contrast):
Further Description of Sighting: It appeared overhead looking like a full moon, bright enough to create a moon shadow and as bright as a regular white full moon. I noticed the real moon a rising orange moon in the eastern sky. After a few minutes the UFO above me called the Moon of Memphis started a rapid ascent. The Moon of Memphis got smaller and smaller until it looked like a bright star, then dim star, then a point of light and disappeared in space. It reminded me of the Star of Bethleham at high altitude. There was no noise but it was an amazing UFO.
Location of Sighting: Portland, Oregon – West hills – Near Hillsdale
Number of UFO(s), including the Color(s), Size(s) and Shape(s): 1 UFO – Saucer shaped – The entire saucer was glowing orange like a coal in a fire.
Distance of UFO(s) in sky: I couldn’t say but when it stopped over head, from our view point it was about 12-18″ in size, so very clear to see. It stopped completely and at a slight angle.
Direction of Travel for UFO(s): We first saw what we thought was a falling star that come down from the Big Dipper. We were on a deck and facing south and it was about midnight. The light then began flying towards our direction crossing some distance away in front of us and eventually came around a group of trees and by that time was close enough for us to clearly see the actual shape of the saucer. It came to a full stop above us and paused for maybe 30 seconds or a minute, and then went from a complete stop to clear out to the horizon in maybe a second. The horizon again was south.
Further Description of Sighting: When the saucer came around the trees and stopping above us, it looked about the length of a football or 12-18″, solid in form and literally glowed orange like a coal in a fire. It was absolutely saucer shaped. Again it went from a complete stop to flying south in about a second and was again a mere light in the distance.
I spoke to a young woman years later that happen to live next to that house years after I had lived there and she too had seen a UFO while living in that house. She recalled learning that the house on the other side of the house I had lived in also saw a UFO from that location. . . Interesting that 3 houses in a row but in different years all saw a UFO. . . ?
Date of Sighting: 1964-1968 sometime in this frame during the winter
Location of Sighting: Portage County–Palmyra, Oh
Shape(s) of UFO(s): Could only see the light
Size(s) of UFO(s): Couldn’t see it but my first thought was that it was a helicopter but it made no noise
Color(s) of UFO(s): could only see the bright light illuminating our pasture and woods
Number of UFO(s): 1
Distance of UFO(s) in sky: just above our trees
Direction of Travel for UFO(s): State Route 225 I saw it lower behind the trees out of vision
Further Description of Sighting: It was dark and cold. Snow was on the ground. My parents were on their way home from Youngstown to Palmyra. I took our dog outside to place her on the run. I saw this bright light across the street behind our barn but to the left. At one time, there had been an airstrip back there because our neighbor had a small plane. But this was not a plane.
It made no sound. Quiet–we are in the country during the winter. Not a sound was hurd. I ran back in the house.
I was afraid but I did think about walking across the way to see what it was, but I didn’t. I haven’t thought about this for years until I read about a citing in Portage County in 1966.
Shape(s) of UFO(s): cigar shaped oval. 5 or 6 to 1 ratio height to length
Size(s) of UFO(s): must have been over 100 m. to be seen at that height
Color(s) of UFO(s): metallic gray
Number of UFO(s): 1
Distance of UFO(s) in sky: above some low scudding clouds maybe 5,000 ft.
Direction of Travel for UFO(s): unknown
Other Known Object(s) (For possible reference, or contrast): none
Further Description of Sighting: Mom was hanging out clothes to dry. She yelled for me to come outside, I was about 14. There was a gray cigar-shaped object above the clouds. It was solid, not a lenticular cloud. It was hovering in one spot.
It was not a blimp or balloon or any aircraft I have ever seen. As the clouds were moving, it was a breezy day, it would disappear behind a cloud, but stayed in the same place so we could see it when the cloud passed. After a minute or two it disappeared behind a cloud but was gone when the cloud moved on.
