Douglas, Cork, Ireland; April 17, 2010

Name: Mr. Fergus Doody

Date of Sighting: 17 April 2010 22:00pm

Location of Sighting: Douglas, Cork, Ireland.

Shape(s) of UFO(s): Circular/Orb

Size(s) of UFO(s): Started very large but then became smaller over the City just before zooming away North.

Color(s) of UFO(s): Orange/Red – No flashing/twinkling at all, very strong ‘glow’.

Number of UFO(s): 2

Distance of UFO(s) in sky: Less than 2 miles as their height was confirmed by an onlooker just outside the City on a hill looking inwards.

Direction of Travel for UFO(s): Both came from the East (around 30 minutes between each sighting) and slowed down over Cork City, then they went North.

Other Known Object(s) (For possible reference, or contrast): Tree behind my house and the city lights. Height of objects was confirmed by a friend I mobiled who live on the hill overlooking the city – objects were NOT above cloud level.

Further Description of Sighting: Two sightings which were about 30 minutes apart. The first was by myself & my girlfriend standing out back of my house after a barbecue, she saw a ‘strong glowing orb light’ coming towards my house from the East and said “whats that?”. It didn’t even look like a normal aircraft. It was very large and could NOT have been a plane – ALL air traffic was grounded due to ‘ash’ in the sky from a volcanic eruption in Iceland at this time.

I have lived in this house since 1980 and I know the flight plans of the aircraft into Cork Airport (I am a paraglider pilot and I know the IAA Laws regarding air traffic over this City and/or near to it).

We watched the object coming very fast towards the City and it then slowed down, it seemed to be stopped over the City, and then it became smaller and smaller before vanishing completely.

30 minutes later a 2nd ‘orb’ came from the EXACT same direction (East) and on the EXACT same flight plan towards Cork City, it slowed down more than the 1st object and I called a friend on my mobile, he went out of his house (on a hill overlooking Cork City) with his wife and they both saw the object directly over the City. It started getting smaller from our point of view but my friend said it was still in the same place over the City (it was not above the clouds) but just getting smaller in size – then he said “hold on it’s just zoomed away, there it goes, I can’t see it anymore”.
From where we were I was able to see it as a tiny red dot shooting Northwards at very very high speed, it was smaller than a star, he couldn’t see it but I could see it going Northwards.

All air traffic was grounded, meteoroids do not change direction, meteoroids usually leave a trail behind them or a light streak and break up fast – this thing was ‘controlled’. It had a very very ‘strong’ glow with no ‘twinkling’ at all like a star or meteoroid, it was not burning up etc.
The 1st UFO was seen by me and my girlfriend, the 2nd one was seen by me, my girlfriend, my mother, my friend and his wife on a hill outside the City from a different point of view with two-way communication.

Somebody phoned into 96FM Radio about “two lights over Cobh” that night.

County Cork, Munster, Ireland; December 22, 2010

Name: Ancho Malachesi

Date of Sighting: 22nd December 2010, 9:30pm

Location of Sighting: Cork City, Ireland

Shape(s) of UFO(s): circle/star-like shape/dot

Size(s) of UFO(s): Small, or, rather, distant

Color(s) of UFO(s): Red

Number of UFO(s): 1

Direction of Travel for UFO(s): Towards the East

Further Description of Sighting: Seen at first from the kitchen window, I saw a red “star”-like object travel over the city in a gradually heightening arch towards the East. The light was unchanging (it did not flash), but occasionally dimmed as it passed behind clouds.

I ran out to the back garden, and watched for several moments until I could no longer see it due to nearby houses. Two other people in the house also witnessed the object, though I had no telescope or pair of binoculars to hand, and it didn’t occur to me to take a picture.
