Message: Last night (may 30) my family and I witnessed strange lites from behind our friends house in Riceville TN. We hot in our cars and followed the lites on hwy 11. Whatever it was, was stationary and on the ground or low to it and because of the low overcast clouds it lit up the sky for 20 miles. It was spectacular with flashes of blue, green, orange and white. We were not the only one who witnessed this.

There were at least 300 cars pulled over on the side of the road watching the lites. It lasted about 20 minutes and then suddenly stopped. The police made everyone leave and blocked off the streets, but there has been nothing in the paper about it all. We have no idea what it was. we were about 1 mile away went it stopped. Anyone else see or hear of anything weird in the area Friday night?
