Further Description of Sighting: On 17th October at approximately 19:45 I was having a sneaky cig break at work and enjoying the view outdoors before i resumed my patrol, three bright objects in the sky caught my attention and were significantly different from the usual airplanes traveling on route to various destinations.

In what only can be described as a bird formation the 3 objects then separated for no longer than 20 seconds as one of the objects stayed stationary the other two went in opposite directions then seemed to merge back together and took a very very sharp turn heading to the cloud that was coming over at the time to the left of them.

Visual was kept on and around the cloud but no other movement was seen from then on. Their was no sound, the movement was fluid and swift what i saw. As far as I’m aware they were not Chinese lanterns!. The objects were spotted above the open university area of Milton Keynes.

If anyone else had spotted unfamiliar sightings on or around this date I’d be fascinated to read the post.

I was watching the night sky last night at a star camp at Kielder Forset in the borders. About 9.15pm I watched an airplance cross the sky to the south and shortly afterwards I saw three white lights moving very quickly at some speed across the sky. They stayed the same distance from each other – there was no sound although I could hear the aeroplane that went over just before. The distance between the lights seemed vast but they all moved in conjunction with each other. I watched them for about a minute and then it became hard to track them.It was curious.
