Further Description of Sighting: The light was traveling quickly across the sky (west to east), quickly dimmed and disappeared. I was watching to see if it would return, but I couldn’t see that it did.

Let me guess, you live just north of the airport.. probably Saddleridge or Taradale? My wife and I saw exactly the same damn thing. Moved from west to east, light faded quickly, and then completely disappeared in a second as it was passing above me. My wife and I went to the back yard to see if it had just flown above/through a cloud, but there was no sign of it. Was way too high to be a plane that had just taken off from the airport…. For reference purposes, we live in Saddlebrook.

My husband and I were sitting on our back deck in Dawson Creek, BC, watching the stars and around 9:03 PM ( we are 1 hour behind Alberta )we happened to see a large bright light moving across the sky west to east,( no flashing lights). The moving object picked up speed and as it moved further away it became smaller and smaller until no longer visable.

We live in south Calgary and saw the same object travel from west to east for about 1 minute, then it shot straight up till it disappeared
