Annville Township, Pennsylvania, USA; December 12, 2007

Name: Marcus

Date of Event: Dec 12th 2007 between 4:30 pm and 5pm

Location of Event: Annville PA

Message: OK apparently i’m not the only one to see something similar, so that puts me a bit at ease. I have 7 witnesses ( the crew I work with on out of state art gigs )

First I was the only one to see a bright white light in the sky.  it was still late afternoon and not dark outside. i thought it was a bright plane. but it split into 3 bright lights. traveling in a straight line. perfect distance apart from each other.  these lights did not fall nor rise,  like a flair or a firework.   but continued in a horizontal line across the sky.  all 3 lights  blinked out one by one

I called to a fellow artist to see if he also seen it, he saw only 2 lights.  before they blinked out.  as we stood there asking each other what it was. another bright light appeared out of nowhere in the sky.  but this time split off into 5 lights. equally spaces, and in a flawless straight line.  like a string of pearls.

this patteren repeated itself for at least 30 minutes as the skys’ grew darker and lasted long enough to gather the other crew I worked with,  No-one had a video camera .. so its’ just our crazy ufo story .

each session of lights would last about a minute then repeat itself every minute or so.  in total we saw the lights appear about 20 times. sometimes changing directions. left to right,. right to left.  forward to backward.  but always about in the same position in the sky.  before it finally stopped.

commonly the lights appeared 6 to 8 lights in a straight line.  but sometimes would be only 2 .

absolutly no sounds. ..

im hoping we were not the only people to see this. maybe it was ball lightning ?  any answers ?

it was not a plane. we could see those flying in the sky as well. ( pretty sure if anyone on a plane could look down would also have seen what we saw )

Thank you for this reported siting… I saw the same thing around 10 years ago. It was late fall getting into winter and it was just getting dark. I was driving to my Martial arts class when my eyes were constantly fixated on this bright light in the sky that did not seem to move. By my guess it looked like it was out of our atmosphere.

I was transfixed for a good twenty minutes or so when the a light all of the sudden split apart and it moved in a straight line with a deliberate action. Once that light stopped another split off the new light moving in a straight line to an equal distance away from the second light.

After a few seconds the newly formed light blinked out then the second (middle light) blinked out and so did the original. My family said it had to be my imagination, but to me it was one of the most spectacular heavenly events I ever saw.

By the way it had to be out of the atmosphere because in the 30 miles I had traveled up to that point it never moved from its position in the sky.

I do not believe it was a natural phenomon, but it makes me feel better to know I am not the only one to ever see something like that.

Thank you and its not a crazy story

I was on Interstate 76? going from Harrisburg east to NYC. I saw the same thing. It happened so many times that I stopped the car to get a better look. I have two explanations:
    1. Every time I saw a pair of lights, I’m guessing it was the rear view of military jets in afterburner.
    2. It really looked like the string of lights were flares being dropped from a slower aircraft.
Only problem: I have no idea what military planes are doing in Eastern Pennsylvania flying maneuvers.

I live in Lebanon, PA very near Annville. I own and fly a helicopter and many of my frineds fly. Today I got a call from a good friend who was flying with an instructor in her Cessna 182 and saw a huge craft approach instantaneously to “right off the wing” in a microsecond. She said the craft was huge, larger than a 747 and was unbelievable close that she feared a collision. A second later it streaked off. Both witnesses later drew a sketch of the identical shape of craft, confirming their observation. Our area seems to be a hot spot for UFOs. Another good friend was driving near Annville about 5 years ago and stopped where others had parked and stepped out of their cars, to look up and see a huge craft like 50 feet above, hovering silently. This witness, as well, is very believable, and both these stories are impossible to explain away by weather phenomena or military craft. Just jealous I wasn’t there 🙂

yeah we thought it might be some new kind of flares being set off, but they werent’ being dropped out of anything, nor were they being shot in the air like a flare gun.. no smoke.
i looked up differnt types of flare guns on the internet and still can’t find anything that does what these lights did,
also looked into Ball lightning, not much video exists of true ball lightning. but from what i can tell the ball lightning is too spurratic and doesnt’ follow any given pattern, i’m definatly open to any explination that makes logical sence.

Same area, same time, but a year later….   12/30/09  around 5pm….
Driving home from work today on Rt 72, going towards Lebanon from Annville.  I thought I seen something unusual in the sky.  It was one bright light.  There were no other lights on it indicating that it was a aircraft of some sort.   It then dimmed as if the light had turned its direction.  As I was trying to figure out what it was, it disappeared.  I then was looking all through the sky to try to find it.  I was about a mile or two down the road when it appeared again.  It was not moving at first, therefore I thought it might have been a star.  But within a few seconds it started moving again.  When I was directly underneath this “moving star”  at a red light,  my AM radio station went out.  But as soon as I moved from underneath it, my station came back on.  And keep in mind this is a station that comes in very clear for me.   Of course, within a minute this light then disappeared again.  Not sure what it was, but if anyone knows, please let me know
